ABC Lab moves to SIO

(July 2025) This summer, the Atmospheric Biogeochemistry (ABC) Laboratory moved from the Geography Department at UC Berkeley to the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Department at UC San Diego.

The lab has been renamed the Atmospheric Biogeochemistry and Composition (still ABC) Laboratory to reflect the merging of the former UC Berkeley laboratory with the Advanced Global Atmospheric Gases Experiment (AGAGE) laboratory at SIO. The AGAGE program conducts in situ, high frequency measurements of ozone-depleting substances (ODSs) and radiatively important trace gases in the lower atmosphere. More details about AGAGE to follow.
